Xinghua city in East China's Jiangsu province gave visitors a real boost on China Tourism Day on May 19, offering free admission to all-comers heading to its prized scenic areas.
The city also organized celebration activities at the Bazi Bridge cultural tourism block from 14:30 pm to 16:30 pm.
The making of handicrafts like paper cuttings and tiger shoes were staged, with visitors allowed to try their hand at making them.
Local fried snacks, spring rolls, crispy fried lotus roots, egg puffs and other authentic snacks were also available.
Agricultural product markets also offered lots of temptations, including rapeseed oil and liquor-saturated crabs, each with a unique flavor of Xinghua.
The 2025 Xinghua Folk Song Competition Finals kicked off at 14:30 at the square, with gentle melodies wafting through the air.
