The glorious rapeseed flower fields in the Qianduo scenic area, located in Xinghua city, East China's Jiangsu province, which previously enchanted visitors with their golden and brilliant petals in March and April, have now entered harvest season.
The special conditions of the small farmlands in Xinghua make the rapeseed grown there more challenging to bring in, given their diminutive size and the irrigation canals that surround the land.
In recent years, with the popularization and cost reductions of modern harvesting machinery, farmers have increasingly adopted them to complement the traditional manual harvesting.

The thriving harvesting scene in the scenic area also attracted the attention of nearby rapeseed oil production enterprises.
"The rapeseed in the scenic area has plump grain, a high oil yield and has a unique brand effect, which is of great help to our company in improving product added value," said Sun Jinfeng, purchasing manager of Xinghua Luxing Food.
This year, the scenic area's rapeseed flowers received nearly 500,000 visits, with ticket revenue reaching about 30 million yuan ($4.17 million).
Relying on this unique landscape resource, Xinghua is vigorously developing its rural tourism, turning rapeseed from a simple crop into a "golden signboard" that drives overall economic development.
