The Wanmu Lotus Pond Scenic Area in Xinghua city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, opened on June 22, attracting hordes of tourists who wanted to come and enjoy the ravishing blooming lotus flowers.
Stepping onto the wood boardwalks, visitors can experience the very special charm of the lotuses. They can even take a boat to spend some leisure time there, surrounded by all those magnificent plants that fill the pond.

This year, the scenic area has introduced additional types, taking the varieties of lotuses to 13 and the varieties of water lilies to over 20.
The lotus flowering period is expected to last from late June to mid-August, with July entering the peak period.

The scenic area will also hold various activities such as photography contests and folk culture exhibitions this summer.
