Located in Daduo town, Xinghua city, Jiangsu province, Jiangsu Kaiyu Biotechnology has attracted the attention of a foreign-funded enterprise seeking to jointly explore the potential value of bean dregs.

Jiangsu Kaiyu Biotechnology focuses on the research and production of soy products. It is committed to combining traditional soy product techniques with modern technology to create high-quality, high value-added soy products.

Kaiyu's rise has attracted the attention of many upstream and downstream enterprises, including Kangfen Ecolution Biology and Technology (Shanghai), a foreign-funded enterprise dedicated to agricultural scientific research and experimental development.

Kangfen found that as waste materials are generated during the production process of soy products, bean dregs can be converted into high-quality bio-organic fertilizer after scientific processing, providing strong support for agricultural production.

With the support of Xinghua's agriculture and rural bureau, the two companies signed a cooperation agreement, with Kaiyu providing the site and raw bean dregs, and Kangfen processing the dregs into bio-organic fertilizer.

With the deepening of cooperation, Kangfen decided to invest in building a factory in Daduo town. In July 2024, Kangfen invested more than 100 million yuan ($13.92 million) to build a factory covering an area of over 4,000 square meters near Kaiyu.

Kangfen plans to build a research and development center and a standardized workshop in the factory, with an expected production capacity of 20,000 metric tons of solid organic fertilizer and over 10,000 tons of liquid organic fertilizer annually.
