Xinghua city in East China's Jiangsu province promoted its rich cultural and tourism resources at the recently concluded 7th Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo, held in Suzhou city in the province from Aug 15 to 17.
In the event's cultural and tourism boutique exhibition area, Xinghua's tourism and creative products were given pride of place, featuring special cultural elements from the city.
At the food culture exhibition area, the stand for Xinghua's Chenyang village proved a popular draw for visitors who were offered river snails that came in nine flavors, treats that filled the air with a strong and fresh aroma.

People also flocked to taste the renowned Xinghua fish balls made on site at the Qingshuiyuan stand, with their fresh, soft and tender taste.
During the event, Xinghua also promoted its autumn tourism with a theme of tasting crabs and appreciating the chrysanthemums, inviting guests to explore the charms of the water city in the autumn.
