Xinghua in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, is planning its first comprehensive high-speed rail passenger hub, with a design tender announced for the Xinghua East Station hub and surrounding facilities along the Yancheng–Yixing high-speed railway.
Located in the eastern area of Xinghua, the planned area covers approximately 47 hectares. The station will integrate elements of local culture, including the unique terraced field patterns and Zheng Banqiao (1693-1766), a renowned Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) poet and painter, adopting a bridge-below station layout.
Primarily serving commercial and transportation needs, the hub will accommodate long-distance buses, public buses, ride-hailing services, taxis, tourist centers, social vehicle parking, and related facilities, marking a significant leap forward in Xinghua's transportation infrastructure.
