Dainan town in Xinghua, Jiangsu province, renowned as the Hometown of Stainless Steel in China, is making significant strides to support local enterprises in renovating outdated facilities.
The town is home to over 3,800 manufacturing enterprises, with some small and micro-sized businesses facing challenges due to aging infrastructure.
Jiangsu Haoben Metal Products, founded in 2017, exemplifies this situation. A steady rise in orders has turned its original 9,000-square-meter single-story factory into a bottleneck that chokes production capacity.
To tackle these challenges, Dainan town established a dedicated task force without delay. This team conducted on-site inspections and, within policy limits, created a streamlined "green channel" to facilitate renovations.
To address concerns about production halts during expansion, the task force conducted a comprehensive survey of idle resources in the area. It coordinated the use of a 4,000-square-meter warehouse as a temporary production site. This strategic move ensured that Haoben could maintain uninterrupted production and meet order deadlines.
Thanks to efficient administrative services, Haoben's new project is progressing rapidly. Three interconnected modern factory buildings are set to rise, covering a total construction area of 15,000 square meters.
Zhao Xiaojun, Haoben's general manager, said that the company plans to capitalize on this transformation by investing in 116 sets of high-end equipment, including computer numerical control equipment and laser machines. This investment will enable the transition from simple material production to end-product manufacturing, fully integrating into Dainan's high-quality development trend.
