The first phase of Jiangsu Jingbote Glass Technology's rooftop solar project, Xinghua's largest, has been connected to the grid at Zhuhong town, Xinghua, Jiangsu province.

The project is based on a total investment of more than 20 million yuan ($2.95 million) by Xinghua Green Energy. Once fully completed, total capacity is expected to reach 5.5 megawatt (MW), generating an estimated 6.5 million kilowatt-hours annually.
The power generated is supplied to Jingbote at 0.39 yuan per kWh, with annual sales of 2.535 million yuan. That price, half the industrial electricity rate of 0.78 yuan, cuts the company's annual electricity bill by more than 2.5 million yuan. In addition, Zhuhong town receives over 1 million yuan annually from revenue sharing.
Covering an area of 72.8 mu (4.85 hectares), Jingbote's 500 million yuan factory project features two buildings that produce organic glass and curtain wall materials. Plant one was completed in December 2025 and started production in March 2026, with its rooftop solar system connected to the grid within about five months, while Plant two has been finished and is set to go online in December 2026.
