The 2026 Science and Technology Innovation Conference took place in Xinghua, Jiangsu province, on Aug 15.
The event, bringing together high-profile experts and entrepreneurs from China and other countries and regions, aimed to connect talent, research and investment and to explore ways to integrate technology with local industries.

Attendees outlined new initiatives focused on talent, housing, funding and industrial collaboration.
The conference also featured the signing of two industrial fund agreements and a partnership between a university and local organizations, as well as the launch of six innovation projects.
Chen Fengjian, Party secretary of Xinghua, said the county-level city would strengthen cooperation with the provincial research institute, industrial funds, high-level talent and market players to foster new quality productive forces.
Following the main session, panel discussions were held on new metal materials and the health food sector. Experts and representatives from various institutions met with companies to discuss project implementation and opportunities for talent cooperation.
