Huier Kangxin 3, a trivalent subunit influenza vaccine developed and produced by Ab&B Bio-Tech, located in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, Taizhou, Jiangsu province, for the 2026-27 influenza season, was supplied in bulk for the first time and sent to vaccination sites in 14 provinces across China.
The product stands as the first and only influenza virus subunit vaccine suitable for the entire population aged 6 months and above in China, offering full coverage of the three major strains — H1N1, H3N2 and Victoria B — that are now in circulation.
The product is currently the only trivalent subunit influenza vaccine approved for infants and young children aged 6-35 months in China, breaking with the traditional practice of halving the dosage for this age group.
This vaccine has also been optimized and upgraded in the vaccination experience, using isotonic formulation technology that conforms to human osmotic pressure, combined with a five section minimally invasive needle, which can help reduce bleeding and relieve pain.
