Brief introduction of Xinghua High-tech Zone

Xinghua High-Tech Zone in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, was established on April 21, 2025. Located in Dainan town, famous for stainless steel, the zone covers 26.57 square kilometers.

The high-tech zone has already developed a distinctive industrial foundation centered on automotive tire steel cord, stainless steel, advanced metal materials, and pharmaceutical packaging materials.

The zone is home to more than 3,000 small, medium and micro manufacturing enterprises, including 330 industrial enterprises above designated size, 200 national high-tech enterprises, and three listed companies.

To support industrial upgrading and innovation, the zone has established a range of public service platforms. These include a national quality supervision and inspection center for stainless steel products, the Xinghua Institute for High-Performance Metal Materials, the Yangtze River Delta Advanced Materials Research Center (Xinghua Center), and the Jiangsu Special Alloy Technology Innovation Center (Xinghua Base).

With over five decades of development, the stainless steel industry in the zone has established a complete circular industrial system and a recycling network for stainless steel scrap. The zone has built a full industrial chain that covers scrap collection and trading, smelting, quality inspection, rolling, pickling, processing, logistics, and commerce.

Xinghua High-Tech Zone is the largest distribution hub for stainless steel raw materials in China and the biggest stainless steel trading center in East China. It is also the world's largest steel cord production base and China's largest valve steel manufacturing base.

Products from the zone span over 40 categories and more than 10,000 varieties. Around 70 percent of China's stainless steel wire and welding wire, as well as 80 percent of stainless steel special-shaped and non-standard products, are manufactured in the zone.
