A groundbreaking ceremony for the global medical device CDMO (Contract Development Manufacture Organization) super intelligent manufacturing factory project, operated by Shanghai Hao Feng Medical Technology, broke ground in China Medical City, Taizhou, Jiangsu province, on Sept 22.
With an investment of 150 million yuan ($22.4 million), the project is set to integrate cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and digital twins, striving to build a leading Chinese CDMO manufacturing center for digital, intelligent, and transparent interventional medical devices.
The project plans to develop a construction area of about 20,000 square meters. It is set to focus on building core platforms for minimally invasive interventional medical device production equipment, upstream polymer extrusion materials, and interventional medical device CDMO services.
After the project is operational, it is expected to generate an annual output value of 350 million yuan and create more than 500 new jobs.
