Five humanoid robots dressed in Peking Opera costumes made a stunning appearance at Taizhou Sports Park on May 28, completing a full-dress rehearsal for the opening performance of the 2026 Jiangsu Football City League match between Taizhou and Suzhou on May 30.

Standing 1.4 meters tall and styled after the iconic look of Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang, the robots moved in perfect unison — flowing water sleeves, elegant gestures, and expressions so lifelike.
The machines are built on Unitree G1 bodies, paired with a proprietary lifelike facial system developed by Taizhou Yijing Technology. Together, the hardware-software combo delivers over 20 standard expressions and hundreds of subtle micro-expressions, enabling the robots to perform a complete set of Peking Opera choreography with precision.

Behind the technological showcase lies the surging momentum of Hailing's sci-tech innovation industry. Yijing Technology's embodied AI project has now officially settled in the district, with plans to build a 1,000-square-meter R&D and small-batch production base within two years, targeting an annual output of 1,000 to 1,500 units.
