During the just-concluded Spring Festival holiday, Jingjiang in Jiangsu province, launched the "66 Reasons to Come to Jingjiang for Spring Festival in 2026" consumer scenarios to stimulate cultural and tourism consumption.
Data showed that the city received over 200,000 visits during the break, and its cultural and tourism consumption reached a new high.
At the Jingjiang Yangtze River Cultural Center, a signing event was staged to welcome good fortune. The representative teams performed songs that showcased a fresh perspective on industrial development, featuring phrases rich in local flavor.
A Chinese New Year technology stage team composed of multiple robots injected a sense of the future into the traditional festival. Robots and robotic dogs became dancers while drone soccer games attracted visitors to stop and watch.
During the holiday, Jingjiang's culinary culture also stood out. The Jijiashi Food Market welcomed visitors with the enticing smell of traditional dishes like large-oven shaobing (sesame-seed cakes) and lotus leaf osmanthus dim sum. Dried meat jerky and Taizhou zaocha, or early breakfast tea, also left a strong impression on diners.
In various towns and villages in Jingjiang, a combination of culture and consumption also emerged. Xinqiao town launched a parent-child carnival and the "Youth Leap" special performance from Feb 19 to 21, adding a lot of fun for locals.
