British national Neil, a high-level talent in Jingjiang, Jiangsu province, and his family obtained the Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card issued by the National Immigration Administration, People's Republic of China, on April 17.
Neil works as a process quality expert for GKN Aerospace (Jingjiang). He has been working and living in Jingjiang for over five years.
In recent years, Neil and his family have often participated in the city's cultural and tourism activities that invite foreign friends to tour Jingjiang, taste delicious food, and learn about local culture. This has already given them more connections with the city.

Obtaining a Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card means obtaining various conveniences for legal long-term living in China, and the holder can smoothly use it in financial consumption, mobile communication, tax payment, and property registration.
In response to the busy work schedule of foreign talents, the exit and entry administration division of Jingjiang's public security bureau provided precise guidance throughout the entire process of policy interpretation, material sorting, and on-site acceptance.
The division also took active moves to coordinate with higher-level departments to simplify the procedures to the greatest extent and compress the processing time.
"Thank you very much for your enthusiastic help in applying for work and residence permits in the past, which has made us feel the warmth and tolerance of this city. We now can work and live here with more peace of mind with the cards," said Neil.
As of now, Jingjiang has processed permanent residence permits for six foreign talents and their families.
