Taixing-based Jiangsu Sunpower has seen its export share surge to 26.6 percent in the first four months of 2026, up from just 12 percent a year earlier, as its high-rate lithium batteries capture growing demand from top global brands.

Automated production lines at the company's plant in the Huangqiao Economic Development Zone have been running at full capacity, filling orders placed by buyers from more than 20 countries at the 139th China Import and Export Fair that concluded on May 5. Orders from foreign buyers now extend through the third quarter.

"We matched overseas demand with cutting-edge technology," said Dai Tianyu, Sunpower's administrative and brand assistant. "We have connected with over 100 new prospective clients and sealed deals on multiple new products."

The company's edge lies in its charge-discharge rate, cycle life, and stability — qualities that have earned recognition from top-tier downstream manufacturers. Its cells now power everything from electric tools and cleaning devices to power banks and low-altitude aircraft.

"We will keep focusing on R&D, sharpening product differentiation, and expanding our global footprint," said Ye Jingjuan, head of operations and strategic development. "More high-performance batteries made in China will serve markets worldwide."
