Jingjiang-based shipbuilder New Times Shipbuilding Co Ltd and Tao Anxiang – honorary chairman of Jingjiang-based Asian Star Anchor China Co Ltd or ASAC – recently received prestigious industry honors.
New Times Shipbuilding was recognized as an excellent enterprise in East China's Jiangsu province, while Tao Anxiang was included in the list of excellent entrepreneurs in the province, according to the Jiangsu provincial Party committee and the Jiangsu government.
Established in 1971, New Times Shipbuilding has been a prominent player in ship design and manufacturing for a long time. The company made history as the first local shipyard in China to construct a 10,000-metric-ton ship.
Additionally, it became the first private enterprise in China to build large-scale LNG dual-fuel powered vessels.
With an impressive record of delivering 445 vessels with a total carrying capacity of 48.97 million tons, New Times Shipbuilding consistently ranks among the top shipbuilders in China and globally.

Under the guidance of Tao Anxiang, ASAC transformed from a village enterprise into a leading global player in anchor and mooring chain research and manufacturing.
By prioritizing technological innovation and independent research and development, ASAC has achieved significant milestones – including the development of the world's first ultra-high-strength R6-grade ocean mooring chain.
The company has earned major recognition through various awards and has been designated as a "manufacturing industry champion demonstration enterprise" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
