This year, the core area of the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jingjiang, Jiangsu province, has focused on attracting and constructing projects and has accelerated the implementation of major and high-quality projects.
Dedicated efforts have been made to support leading industries such as new materials, equipment manufacturing, semiconductors and aerospace.
The area has signed 12 new projects since the start of this year, including two projects worth over 500 million yuan ($73.33 million).
In the first quarter, seven key projects started construction. For instance, Sprint Precision Technologies completed the pile foundation construction for workshops one and two of the Semiconductor Advanced Process Core Technology Device R&D and Manufacturing Project.
Five key projects were also completed and started operation in the first quarter of the year. The intelligent segmented workshop and material center of the New Energy Ship Intelligent Manufacturing Project, operated by New Times Shipbuilding, completed equipment installation and is currently undergoing trial operations.
For the second quarter, the area plans to break ground on and complete four key projects.
