New Times Shipbuilding, a national ship export base located in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Taizhou, was recently honored as one of Taizhou's top 10 enterprises for 2024. It is the only enterprise from Jingjiang to make the list.
In 2023, the company delivered 27 ships, totaling 3.71 million deadweight metric tons, generated 12.52 billion yuan ($1.76 billion) in invoiced sales, a year-on-year increase of 22.5 percent, and signed 43 shipbuilding orders, totaling 6.48 million deadweight tons.
As of July, the company's orders had extended to 2028. Among are 73 oil tanker orders with 10.07 million deadweight tons, ranking first in the world.
Moving forward, New Times Shipbuilding will enhance its production quality and efficiency through digital and intelligent transformation while promoting further development through technological innovation.
