Five companies from the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone Headquarters in Taizhou were recently selected in the list of approved projects for the city's engineering and technology research centers in 2024.
Engineering and technology research centers serve as institutions for enterprises to conduct independent research and development and promote the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.
They also facilitate the introduction of cutting-edge technologies and enhance the collaboration between industry, academia, and research, promoting greater synergy.
Jingjiang ETDZ has offered services to a group of leading innovative enterprises with large-scale economies and high industry influence in recent years to accelerate the establishment of R&D institutions, gather innovative resources, and strive to enhance the capability of transforming scientific and technological achievements.
The Jingjiang ETDZ Headquarters has four provincial-level or higher engineering and technology research centers and 11 at the city level.
Moving forward, Jingjiang ETDZ is set to promote industrial innovation through technological innovation, strengthen platform construction, and upgrade its services.
It also encourages enterprises to collaborate with universities, research institutes, and scientific research institutions to jointly build technology innovation platforms, accelerating the development of new quality productive forces.
Jingjiang ETDZ aims to achieve over 60 percent coverage of R&D institutions among industrial enterprises above the designated size and complete coverage of R&D institutions among industrial enterprises with an annual output value of over 100 million yuan ($14.16 million) by 2025.
