Construction has recently accelerated on the 2x1 million-kilowatt unit expansion project being undertaken by power utility Jiangsu Guoxin Co Ltd in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Taizhou, Jiangsu province.
Both the main workshop and chimney structures have been successfully completed, while boiler installation and cooling tower construction are progressing smoothly.
"Construction workers resumed work from the third day of the Chinese New Year, with over 250 already on-site, and the remaining personnel are returning gradually," said Yi Qingzheng, the company's engineering director.
It is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2025, with an annual power generation capacity of approximately 10 billion kilowatt-hours.
