Jingjiang, a county-level city in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, recorded 8,767 new market entities in the first nine months, representing a 17.17 percent year-on-year increase. This includes 2,088 newly established enterprises and 6,675 individually-owned businesses.
Scientific research and technical services led all sectors with 571 new enterprises, accounting for 27.35 percent of new corporate registrations and a 20.21 percent annual growth. This knowledge-intensive sector demonstrates characteristics of high-end quality and substantial value-added contribution.
Recent years have seen rapid expansion among Jingjiang's technology-focused enterprises. As integration of technological and industrial innovation advances, scientific and technical services are emerging as a crucial catalyst for this transformation.
As vital components of the modern service industry, leasing and business services continue gaining prominence. These sectors accounted for 9.58 percent of new enterprises, with 200 new registrations, which reflects 7.53 percent growth.
Individually-owned businesses maintained strong momentum, with vigorous growth throughout the reporting period. Among the 6,675 new registrations, wholesale and retail represented 50.29 percent, followed by residential services (10.88 percent), manufacturing (9.63 percent), leasing and business services (8.01 percent), and accommodation and catering (6.86 percent).
The new-form individual business sector, encompassing livestream commerce and micro-enterprises, continued expanding, adding 694 entities engaged in internet sales and 150 specializing in personal livestreaming services.
