In 2025, Jingjiang city in East China's Jiangsu province, unfailingly promoted its efforts to construct a "zero-waste city", with four new "zero-waste factories" completed.

Advancing the construction of "zero-waste factories" is a crucial initiative for the city to practice the green development concept and deepen its ecological civilization efforts, aiming to achieve a green transformation across the entire production-to-disposal chain by establishing an internal circular economy system within enterprises.

Jiangsu Deqiao Warehousing, Jiangsu Hengyi Industrial Technology, Jiangsu Xingwang Logistics and Jingjiang Xianjie Aviation Parts were four newly recognized companies in the area.

As of now, the city is home to 11 "zero-waste factories", two "zero-waste hospitals", and three "zero-waste schools".

The efforts to build a "zero-waste city" in 2025 achieved significant results, with a comprehensive utilization rate of 99.65 percent for general industrial solid waste and the work of garbage classification, new pollutant treatment, and special rectification of solid and hazardous waste all steadily advanced, according to the city's ecology and environment bureau.
