The first horizontal tail component of Kaifei aviation C909 airplane, manufactured by Kaifei Aviation Manufacturing, located in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jingjiang, Jiangsu province, was delivered on Feb 9.
This marks an important milestone for Jingjiang in accelerating the layout of the future aerospace industry.
The company, focusing on the design and production of civil aircraft components, is invested by COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing, GKN Aerospace Services and AVIC Supply Corporation, meaning it benefits from the expertise of three enterprises in the fields of aviation manufacturing, fine management, and supply chain integration services.
Shen Qiang, an official from Jingjiang, said that the delivery will be used as an opportunity to build the city into an important production base for aviation structural components.
Lu Hu, general manager of COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing, said that Kaifei Aviation Manufacturing will help Jingjiang promote industrial innovation and upgrading as well as create a new hub of advanced manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta.
