The Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jingjiang, Jiangsu province, dedicated itself to promoting high-quality economic and social development in 2025, resulting in impressive achievements.
Last year, the zone had an estimated regional GDP of 85 billion yuan ($12.39 billion) and an industrial output value above a designated size of 113.78 billion yuan, up 8.5 percent and 9.4 percent, respectively.
It also added 141 new enterprises above a designated size and 13 enterprises with tax revenue of over 10 million yuan.
The zone also saw effective clustering of its industries, with the continuous upgrading of traditional advantageous industries, rapid development of emerging future industries and quality improvements in its port logistics Industry.
Throughout last year, there were 72 signed projects, 37 initiated projects, and 27 completed projects worth over 500 million yuan each. Five industrial projects were selected for the provincial list of major projects.
It also added 35 advanced intelligent factories, established 12 research and development platforms for enterprises above the city level, 113 newly recognized high-tech enterprises, and 116 specialized and sophisticated enterprises above the provincial level.
In addition, resident enterprises accelerated their global expansion last year, with an estimated $5.02 billion in total imports and exports in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 30.7 percent.
