The commencement of the Jiangsu Qiaohang Marine Equipment Manufacturing Base project, to be settled in Jingjiang, Jiangsu province, serves as a fruitful example of the benefits of enterprise cooperation.
Based on an investment of $300 million, the project will rely on the resources and expertise of Jiangsu Qiaohang Marine Equipment — the company behind the project — in the field of offshore equipment.
It will also utilize the industry leading resources of partner CCCC Second Harbor Engineering, a core backbone subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company.
The project will focus on the layout of core offshore wind power equipment, offshore boosting stations, offshore hydrogen production stations, offshore ranches and more. In doing so, it will strive to build a full-chain offshore industrial system spanning equipment manufacturing, offshore transportation, and offshore installation.
At present, the first phase of the project has obtained the construction permit, and the foundation leveling operation is being carried out. It is expected to be put into operation in July 2027.

Qiaohang is an affiliated enterprise of Jiangsu Yuhang Ocean Engineering in Jingjiang. The base project is a capital increase and production expansion project implemented by Yuhang based on its own industrial base.
Since it settled in Jingjiang in 2013, Yuhang has been deeply engaged in the field of marine engineering equipment. The company largely focuses on the manufacturing of special marine vessels and large-scale steel structures for marine engineering, serving the construction of coastal marine engineering bases and offshore wind power development.

For over a decade, Yuhang has joined hands with CCCC Second Harbor Engineering, delivering over 200,000 metric tons of high-end marine and bridge steel structure products.
"Yuhang is our most important designated supplier of marine equipment in East China. It is also an indispensable core partner for us to expand the marine economy track," said Li Zongping, chairman of CCCC Second Harbor Engineering.
He added that in the future the three companies will rely on their respective technological, resources and market advantages to jointly explore new markets in the marine economy, helping Jingjiang to build a high-end marine equipment industry cluster.
