Officials from Taixing city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – visited the Taixing Economic Development Zone on Oct 27 to look at the advances being made there in major projects.
One is an integrated oil products production plant operated by Apical Oleochemical (Taixing) Co Ltd, which is projected to make 1.08 million metric tons of oil products annually.
Taixing officials learned about the product characteristics, technological innovations and market developments of the facility.
With a total investment of $460 million, it's said to be in line with the development direction of healthy industries in the zone.
Its products can be used as raw materials for daily chemical products and supplied to daily chemicals manufacturers in the zone.
At present, its first phase is in trial production and the second phase is under construction. Plans are for the completed project to start operating next March.
