The Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, has accelerated efforts to help new projects move from construction to production.
The Sinochem Kangyuan Nutrition and Health Raw Materials and R&D Customized Platform Project is an important step by Nanjing-based Sinochem Pharmaceutical in expanding its presence in the pharmaceutical and health industry in the Taixing zone.
With a total investment of 1.02 billion yuan ($149.95 million), the project will be implemented in two phases and has already entered the critical debugging stage before trial production of its first phase.
The first phase broke ground in March 2025 and took just 13 months to complete engineering construction. It is projected to produce 1,500 metric tons of L-carnitine (LCNT) series nutritional and health raw materials and 380 tons of R&D pilot products each year.
The first phase is expected to generate an annual sales revenue of 400 million yuan. Once both phases are completed, the project is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 1.2 billion yuan each year.
