The Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu recently announced a shortlist of green factories of the year in the province.
Four enterprises from the Taixing Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – made it onto the shortlist.
They are SP Chemicals (Taixing) Co, Jiangsu Zhiwei New Material Technology Co, Cinic Chemicals (Taixing) Ltd and Jiangsu Changlong Agrochemical Co.
In recent years, the zone has made great efforts to promote its green and low-carbon growth. It's established a database for green manufacturing system cultivation – providing tailored guidance and tracking services to enterprises.
What's more, it's committed to fully leveraging the roles of enterprises in building green manufacturing systems – and in continuously promoting the green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality growth of the manufacturing industry in the zone.
Currently, it is home to two national-level green factories, one national-level green design demonstration product, one national-level industrial product green design demonstration enterprise, and eight provincial-level green factories.
Looking ahead, plans are for the zone to keep improving its green manufacturing system and support local companies to promote eco-friendly production – and to boost industry through green technology.
