The Taixing Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – held a meeting on soil and groundwater environmental controls and restoration work for its resident enterprises on Dec 28.
As one of a dozen pilot zones for national control and restoration, it will strictly implement soil and groundwater environmental controls.
In line with the policy for "strict institutional management, monitoring and tracing, classified policy implementation, source control, channel blockage and restoration and improvement", the implementation of restoration and control measures is being divided into zones and categories.
This program aims to boost the continuous improvement of soil and groundwater environmental quality for manufacturers.

As a representative company in the zone, SNF (China) Flocculant Co Ltd is a unit of France's SNF Group, a major global producer and industry leader in polyacrylamide.
