The Taixing Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – was recently honored as a 2023 Jiangsu Province Intellectual Property Construction Demonstration Area.
Founded in 1991, the zone was approved as a national intellectual property pilot zone in December 2015.
In recent years, it has integrated intellectual property or IP work into its economic and social development. The average annual increase in patent applications and authorizations of resident companies in the park has topped 30 percent.
Moreover, the zone has implemented major projects for patent navigation, collaborative innovation and IP industrialization to promote the deep melding of enterprise innovation and development needs with IP.
By October, there were 2,637 valid invention patents in Taixing, a year-on-year increase of 24.36 percent.
