The Taixing Economic Development Zone, located in Taixing city, administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, is ramping up the construction of new projects to push its industrial growth forwards.
A high-performance sealing and bonding materials plant being funded by Belgium-based Soudal Group is picking up the pace of its build-out, with its main structures including workshops and warehouses now capped.
When it starts up at the end of 2025, it is expected to produce 21,000 metric tons of polyurethane foam sealant and 20,000 tons of silicone adhesive per year, with expected annual sales of 1.5 billion yuan ($210.51 million).
Elsewhere, zone company Cinic Chemicals (Taixing) is engaged in the production, research and development and sales of high-performance organic pigments.
To expand its production capacity, the company invested $78.57 million to install a new high-performance organic pigment production facility and it was completed and started operating in February.
"After completion, the pigment production has increased from 4,800 tons to 9,400 tons per year," said plant manager Cao Dingzhi.
In the first half of the year, the zone broke ground on eight projects worth over 500 million yuan each and completed the construction of five new projects worth 500 million yuan each, a performance ranking it second among six A-level industrial parks in Taizhou.
