The Thirteenth China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition for New Energy, New Energy Vehicles, Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection recently wrapped up in Changzhou city, East China's Jiangsu province.
A total of 170 companies were shortlisted for the national competition and 69 of them were selected as excellent companies nationwide, including 18 from Jiangsu.
One recognized company was Weijite New Materials Technology (Taizhou), located in the Taixing Economic Development Zone, Taixing city in the province.
Founded in May this year, the group has cooperated closely with the Taixing New Materials Research Institute.
The project for the efficient conversion of palm oil and the development of bio-based new materials being developed by the company has made notable progress. This can achieve high value-added applications for palm oil, especially its by-products, and develop a formaldehyde free and environmentally friendly palm oil-based adhesive.
In recent years, Taixing has prioritized the development of innovation and entrepreneurship activities.
That in turn has fostered the deep integration of tech and industrial innovation and created an environment particularly conducive to overall innovation and entrepreneurship.
