The Taixing Economic Development Zone, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, is ramping up its expansion of high-quality industries, in order to make a greater contribution to the development of the local economy.
Focusing on its modern industrial system, the zone has set out the goal in 2025 of signing up 35 projects worth over 100 million yuan ($13.69 million) each.
That's in addition to breaking ground on 24 projects worth over 100 million yuan each and completing the construction of 16 projects worth over 100 million yuan each throughout the course of the year.

The zone will implement detailed policies and strengthen support for production for its 147 manufacturers above a designated size of 20 million yuan in annual business revenue, ensuring that its industrial invoice sales hits 138 billion yuan this year.
Pan Mingrong, deputy secretary of the zone's Party working committee, said the zone aimed to add two 1-billion-yuan revenue enterprises, eight 5-billion-yuan revenue enterprises and ten 3-billion-yuan revenue enterprises within the current year.
The zone will also strengthen the main position of business enterprises for sci-tech innovation and encourage the establishment of consortiums for enterprise innovation.
Plans are for the zone to add five national-level high-tech enterprises and five provincial-level or above research and development institutions this year.
