The Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, held a promotional conference aimed at constructing the zone into a world-class fine chemical and new materials industry base in Shanghai on July 31.
Fu Xiangsheng, vice-chairman of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, affirmed the innovation environment of the zone, especially its test base, and hoped that the zone would take lead in innovation, intelligence, being a role model in green development in the next 30 years.

Liu Hui, an official from Taixing, said that in recent years, the zone has taken electronic chemical new materials a key driving force for industrial growth, promoting the transition of traditional fine chemicals to electronic grade and special grade high-end fine chemicals.
Liu also said he hoped more enterprises can lay out their headquarters' research and development and core production processes in Taixing, sharing the dividends of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta with more partners.
During the conference, executives from multinational corporations such as ROHM Semiconductor, Arkema, and Cabot exchanged ideas on the zone's industrial prospects, future development, technological innovation, and other aspects.
