The Taixing Economic Development Zone, located in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, is ramping up its efforts to build a modern industrial park with more core competitiveness and international influence.
That's with the zone's economy continuing to improve in the first half of the year, generating total industrial invoice sales of 64.8 billion yuan ($9.03 billion).
To realize its goal, the zone will continue with its high-end transformation and foster its high-quality development, said Pan Mingrong, director of the zone's management committee, adding that efforts will be made to develop high value-added products such as electronic chemicals, advanced electronics packaging materials and special engineering plastics.

The zone will also move to establish a pilot incubation industrial park and encourage businesses to settle in offshore innovation centers for industry-university-research cooperation, thereby advancing the emergence of more innovative achievements.
In addition, the zone will stick to its eco-friendly transformation, with continued efforts made in promoting the development of low-carbon industries, green energy and recycling resources.
Furthermore, it will guide key industries and enterprises to implement green and low-carbon upgrading and transformation.
