Li Xiaojun, engineering technology director of Jiangsu Huide New Materials, recently praised Taizhou's bureau of ecology and environment, as it provided efficient approval services for the company's polyurethane new material production project.

The project, to be established in the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, is expected to produce 600,000 metric tons of polyurethane new materials annually. It has been selected as a major project in the province this year.

It took only 15 working days from accepting the project's environmental impact report for the bureau to complete the approval.

All projects must be assessed for environmental impact before commencing, and the speed of approval affects subsequent progress.

During the approval process, the bureau offered proactive services and arranged for relevant experts to hold two project review meetings. It also helped enterprises adjust the content of their reports in a timely manner based on the latest policies and opinions of the expert group.

In the first half of this year, Taizhou issued environmental impact assessment approvals for 27 projects, with an average approval period of 20 working days.
