Industrial chemical manufacturer SNF (China) Flocculant, located in the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing city, East China's Jiangsu province, was recently recognized at the provincial level.
The company, a unit of France-based SNF Group, was selected in the first batch of foreign-funded research and development centers in Jiangsu province that comply with the tax exemption policy in 2025.
The recognition is seen as acknowledging the research strength of the company and means it will enjoy tax incentives in the future.
The foreign-funded R&D center was established by its overseas investors as an important institution for commercial technological innovation and R&D.
Since its establishment in China in 1998, the company has led in the production of polyacrylamide chemicals in the country. To date, 110 of its technological achievements have been commercialized.
The company's new product sales revenue in 2024 topped 2 billion yuan ($280.31 million).
Overall, the Taixing bureau of commerce has actively implemented various incentive policies to promote qualified foreign-funded enterprises to strengthen the construction of research and development centers.
