Huang Weizhou from Summer Sprout (Jiangsu), located in the Taixing Economic Development Zone, Taixing, Jiangsu province, has led a team to explore breakthroughs in OLED red light doped materials.
When he came to Taixing in 2021, Huang, who holds a PhD in organic chemistry, saw that the field of red light doped materials in the OLED industry faced constraints due to its heavy reliance on foreign technology.
Faced with the high production costs and frequent supply instability of domestic enterprises, Huang decided to start with the synthesis process in hopes of a breakthrough.

Finally, by optimizing the purification process, Huang and his team managed to steadily increase the purity of the intermediate to over 99.99 percent, laying the foundation for subsequent mass production.
With demand for OLED materials growing among panel manufacturers, the molecular structure of doped materials is becoming more complex, and the requirements for the precision of synthesis processes are constantly increasing.
Faced with these new challenges, Huang is still engaged in research and development, focusing on practical technical problems such as how to improve the thermal stability and lifespan of materials and optimize processes to reduce production costs.
