In a significant move to bolster regional innovation and industrial growth, the pilot test technology incubation industrial park of the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing, East China's Jiangsu province, has signed an incubation agreement with a project team from the University of Science and Technology of China.

This agreement, part of the recent "Taizhou Day" event, marks the official settlement of five projects of the university in the industrial park. Additionally, Taixing Economic Development Zone and the university's School of Advanced Technology have signed a cooperation agreement focusing on key areas such as bio-based new materials and high-end functional materials in order to enhance the synergy between academia and industry and accelerate the transformation of research achievements into industrial applications.

Zhao Jun, head of the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Taizhou Municipal Committee, emphasized the critical role of talent in regional competitiveness. He advocated for a "talent-driven city" strategy to enhance industrial support and talent retention, encouraging more skilled talent to settle in Taixing.

The establishment of an industrial college between Taixing and Nanjing Tech University represents a mutual commitment to development. Earlier this year, both sides signed an agreement on a significant bio-based materials project led by the university's innovative team, with plans to establish a bio-based materials industrial park in Taixing. This project, once fully operational, is expected to achieve annual sales of 20 billion yuan ($2.8 billion), effectively propelling the park to serve as a demonstration base for the Yangtze River Delta's bio-based materials industry.

As one of the province's first three chemical pilot bases, the pilot test technology incubation industrial park has now completed construction, with nearly 500 million yuan in investment. The park is ready to support around 20 pilot projects, creating a seamless transition from innovation to industrialization. The park features eight Class A pilot plants and comprehensive auxiliary facilities, including storage and waste disposal, ensuring a robust ecosystem for technological innovation and entrepreneurship.

Taixing is committed to becoming a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship, having attracted numerous top-tier talents, including 18 academicians and 48 national-level experts, to drive project industrialization.
