The Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, will aim to provide excellent service, support the innovation needs of local businesses, and help them address issues in research and development, talent, and funding, to promote their innovative growth.
This was told by Pan Mingrong, an official from the zone, at the zone's 2026 innovation-driven development conference held on Feb 26.
Since innovation depends on platform and chain support, the zone has set up a comprehensive full-chain innovation platform, covering everything from concept verification and small-scale research and development, to engineering and productization.
"The layout of the three major offshore innovation centers enables enterprises to connect more easily to the highest quality innovation resources in the Yangtze River Delta without leaving the zone," said Pan.
For instance, the offshore innovation center in Shanghai, which is affiliated with East China University of Science and Technology, focuses on fields such as organic functional materials and biological fermentation, providing standardized research and development space for enterprises.
Besides, the establishment of a pilot incubation industrial park, an industrial collaborative innovation center, and a public inspection and testing center has reduced costs and increased efficiency for enterprise innovation.
Regarding financial security, the zone has set up a dedicated incubation fund and is dedicated to creating a funding support system that spans the entire cycle of research and development, concept validation, and enterprise growth.
