The pilot project for the annual production of 1,000 metric tons of palm oil-based new materials, settled in the Taixing Economic Development Zone Pilot Test Incubation Industrial Park, Taixing, Jiangsu province, broke ground on March 5.
The project was the first to enter the park for construction, marking the substantial promotion of industrial cultivation in the park.

This project, led by Professor Qiu Renhui and his team at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, stands as a key demonstration project for industry-university-research cooperation championed by Jiangsu province.
Focusing on the pain points related to low conversion efficiency and the inadequate utilization of palm oil in the development of the oil chemical industry. The team has made notable advancements by overcoming technical barriers to the efficient conversion of low-unsaturated palm oil-based resins. They have also taken the lead in establishing a research and production system for formaldehyde-free, environmentally friendly adhesives and bio-based asphalt regenerators in China.
As one of the first pilot projects for the construction of chemical pilot bases in Jiangsu, the park provides comprehensive lifecycle service guarantees for projects, including assistance with project approval, safety and environmental protection, engineering technology, inspection and testing, and financial backing.
