The semiconductor precursor material project operated by Origin Materials Technology, located in the Taixing Economic Development Zone, Taixing, Jiangsu province, is helping enhance the core competitiveness of regional industries.
The project, costing 2.01 billion yuan ($290.80 million), will be constructed in two phases. After completion, it will be able to produce 93.6 metric tons of semiconductor precursor materials each year. As the first of its kind in China, the process is mature and reliable, capable of supporting wafer fab import verification requirements.
Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) precursor materials are the main supporting components of advanced chip processes and have long been dominated by foreign giants. Shanghai Yuangui Information Technology, the parent company of Origin Materials Technology, has been engaged in this field for many years. Upon completion, the project will fill China's gap in ALD precursor materials.
From production workshops to environmental treatment and R&D testing, the entire chain of supporting facilities is fully equipped. It aims to establish a leading high-purity electronic materials R&D and production base in China.
