The project to produce 600,000 metric tons of polyurethane new materials each year is situated within the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu province. This project is poised to serve as a benchmark for the integrated development of China's high-end polyurethane industry chain.
With a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($290.95 million), the project is operated by Jiangsu Huide New Materials. Construction broke ground in January and will proceed in three phases.
Upon its completion, the project will establish a comprehensive product matrix that integrates a range of categories such as polyester polyols, polyurethane resins, hot melt adhesives and elastomers.
The project capitalizes on Huide's mature polyurethane production technology while promoting the research and application of new technologies.
By making use of its technological strengths and achieving economies of scale, the project aims to expand export capacity and capture a greater share of the international market, bolstering the global competitiveness of China's polyurethane new materials.
The project also adheres to the concept of source control, low-carbon environmental protection and energy conservation and emission reduction. It will promote the application of green production technologies, facilitating the development of a green, low-carbon ecosystem for the new materials industry in Taixing.
