Meiying (Jiangsu) New Materials, located in the Taixing Economic Development Zone, Taixing, Jiangsu province, has taken a unique approach by aiming to create a fully digital 5G factory from the very beginning, rather than following the common practice of "building a factory first and then renovating it".
The factory employs a fully connected 5G system that utilizes high-speed networks to link all processes and integrate multiple information systems. In this facility, every device is assigned a "digital ID card", which allows for traceability of every process and transforms data into actionable insights for decision making.
In the intelligent warehousing area, when staff receive shipping instructions on their handheld terminals, the screen displays the precise location of the goods in real time. The processes of scanning the code, locating the items and loading them are seamlessly coordinated.

As of now, the company's equipment networking rate has achieved 100 percent and its overall production efficiency has increased by 30 percent.
The digital reconstruction of production is just the first step in Meiying's intelligent manufacturing strategy. "Meiying is committed to developing ultra-high energy-saving glass wool, ultra-low carbon green materials, and customized smart materials. Our goal is to build a world-class intelligent manufacturing base for glass wool that is more intelligent, greener, and efficient," said Zhang Hao, digital head of the company.
