As industries continue to evolve, the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, is accelerating the integration of technological innovation with industrial development to drive high-quality growth.
The zone has built a specialized industrial base centered on fine chemicals, with new materials, pharmaceutical manufacturing and daily chemical products serving as its leading industries.
In May of this year, the Taixing Economic Development Zone New Quality Productive Forces Promotion Center was established. In the view of Liu Zengfu, deputy director of the zone's management committee, this is a key step for the zone in promoting the coordinated upgrading of software and hardware as well as transitioning toward innovation driven development.

Covering 7.2 hectares, the Taixing Economic Development Zone Pilot Testing and Incubation Industrial Park is one of Jiangsu's first demonstration projects for chemical pilot-scale testing facilities. The park has already attracted its first four projects and is expected to become a key hub for scaling up new technologies from laboratory research to industrial production.
All enterprises operating in the zone have access to the high-quality resources of the Yangtze River Delta. The zone has set up offshore innovation centers in Shanghai, Suzhou and Nanjing. It has opened more than 4,000 square meters of research and development space, and connected national-level key laboratories, more than 50 top experts, and full-chain testing capabilities to the zone's innovation system.
In addition, all three major public service platforms supporting the zone have been completed and put into use. The 52,000-square-meter industrial collaborative innovation center has 14 projects ready to start small-scale research and development, while the public inspection and testing center is equipped with 19 sets of professional equipment for testing costs just half of the market rate. Meanwhile, the pilot test incubation industrial park supports the scale-up and validation of new technologies, helping move them toward commercial production.
