Since the beginning of this year, the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing, Jiangsu province, has steadily advanced project construction, driving robust industrial growth.
The 600,000 metric tons per year polyurethane new material project of Jiangsu Huide New Materials is designed to replace high-end polyurethane materials with domestically produced alternatives. Once operational, it is expected to fill key material gaps in fields such as new energy, automotive manufacturing, and light industry manufacturing, strengthening China's self-sufficiency.
Another high-quality project — the high-end chemical project operated by SP Chemicals, with a total investment of 7.1 billion yuan ($1.06 billion) — began construction in March and is set to be added to the provincial major project list in September.

Five key projects in the zone are currently under approval or planned for approval, with a combined investment of 3.63 billion yuan, to be accelerated in preparation and invested in the fields of high-end fine chemicals and cutting-edge new materials.
The semiconductor precursor materials project, operated by Yuanzhan Materials Technology and with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, began construction in June, filling the zone's gap in the electronic new materials industry.
At present, 26 product categories from the zone rank among the nation's top in market share, while 16 key new materials have broken the monopoly of foreign technology. The solid industrial foundation is transforming into a powerful magnet, drawing leading enterprises to gather and further strengthening the zone's position as a hub for high-end materials innovation.
