Three projects from Fengqi town in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – were given awards at the 2023 International Conference on Green and Innovation-driven Development in Cities and Towns on Oct 18.
The conference was held in the city of Suzhou in Jiangsu province.
The first project, a promotion for drone applications technology, received the first award.
The other two projects were a low-speed autonomous driving project based on intelligent sensors and high-precision maps and a lithium battery powertrain project for new energy special vehicles – both receiving second awards.
In recent years, Fengqi town has been facilitating the commercialization of energy conservation and environmental protection technology achievements to bolster the integrated development of industry and city.
Currently, Fengqi town is involved in such key areas as water, solid waste and flue gas treatment – and its products cover more than 70 of the 162 major categories of environmental protection technology equipment being encouraged by the country.
What's more, the town is now home to one post-doctoral research center and nine provincial-level enterprise technology centers.
