The Jiangou area in Zhuhong town, Chenyang area in Qianduo town, and Nankebao area in Taozhuang town, all located in Xinghua city, administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, were recently honored as featured countryside areas in the province.
As of now, Xinghua is home to 19 featured countryside areas in Jiangsu, ranking it first in Taizhou city.
Located in the southeast corner of Xinghua, the Nankebao area has in recent years moved to rectify and improve its living environment, enhance the cultural quality of local villages, and promote industrial development. It was also named a provincial-level traditional village in 2021.
Located on the north side of Zhuhong town, the Jiangou area achieved a village collective income of 2.34 million yuan ($327,713) last year.
With the joint construction of villages and enterprises, the area has been engaged in the wooden boat-making industry and has cultivated many excellent related enterprises.
Located in Qianduo town, the Chenyang area to the north is dominated by Lixiahe Wetland Park, while to the west is Xumahuang Ecological Wetland. The water bodies of Chenyang account for over 40 percent of the area, showing a beautiful wetland ecology.
