The Maoshan Boat Fair, a time-honored folk custom, took place on April 5 in Xinghua city floating the boat of thousands of onlookers and competitors alike.

A highlight of the extravaganza is a thrilling presentation of cole flowers set against a backdrop of a network of rivers and lakes in the Qianduo Cole Flower Scenic Area in Xinghua.

The crab famers of Xinghua – a county-level city administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – are currently hard at work collecting, sorting and releasing baby crabs.

The charms of Shagou town in Xinghua, will be featured in a documentary series named Nostalgia in Mind, to be broadcast on China Central Television 4, or CCTV-4, on Jan 11.

Located in the downtown Xinghua the single arch Bazi Bridge is made of granite and it spans the south-north Beishi River.
